“Laz can make a music track out of anything. He has done that with just a recorded voice memo on my iPhone and has transformed it into a masterpiece. In my new album, he helped me try out new genres of music. He is primarily a Latin jazz-fusion musician but he understands good music. Valuable for any pop/top 40 hits genre. Laz plays a variety of instruments and knows a diversity of music styles. He is the utmost professional” Danny Martinez

Laz Lee was born in Havana, Cuba. His family immigrated to the U.S. when he was young. Growing up in Chicago, Laz was exposed to all sorts of music so he developed an eclectic taste in music. In college he studied traditional music theory, classical piano and jazz arranging. He developed an appreciation and love for jazz music. Laz also honed his skills as a church musician throughout the years.
Laz continues to be connected to his Cuban roots, performing Afro-Cuban music in bands and as a solo pianist and guitar player locally in the Chicago area.
Laz’s ability to write and arrange music as well as record and mix a project in the studio has led him to opportunities to produce music for others.
Laz received his Bachelors in music theory from Northeastern Illinois University and his Master of Music in Music Technology from Southern Utah University.

“I have been working with Laz for years now! With lots of hard work and timely communication, he makes sure he delivers the best to me. Highly recommended!” – Joe Perea, song stylist
